This Bottling Checklist is provided to assist our customers with preparations for bottling day.
Custom Quality Bottling provides:
Clean and sterilized equipment and work space
- Temperature controlled bottling environment
- 80 feet of hose from pump to bottling line, with a 1 1/2 inch, tri-clover fitting on hose
- Integrity test of filters
- Video jet date coding on bottles
- Case tape
- LCBO compliant case labels
- Twine to tie off pallets of finished product
- Lock n' Pop technology - required by LCBO, to stabilize palletized finished product

Customer provides:
Power - 3 phase, 208 volt, 60 amp ***generator available to rent from Custom Quality Bottling
- Hot and cold potable water
- All components for finished product
- Wine filtered and ready to bottle
- Listing of products to be bottled, litres, bottle size, closure type and bar code
- Inert gas (nitrogen)
- Code 7 filters - pre and final, 0.8 and 0.45 micron - filter length: 30 inches ***available for purchase from Custom Quality Bottling
- Labels printed to line specifications ***see Products & Services page
- Wine hose, if distance from pump to bottling line exceeds that provided by Custom Quality Bottling, with 1 1/2 inch tri-clover fittings
- Fork lift and experienced operator
- Labour - 5 workers including forklift operator
- 1 designated winery person with authority to make decisions, and responsible for supplying bottling components

Bottling Day:
Custom Quality Bottling arrives at location 1 1/2 hours prior to bottling start time to set-up, with access to hydro and water.
One hour before bottling - access to wine, filters, and bottling components
Normal hours of operation: 8:30am - 4:30pm with 1/2 hour for lunch and 2 x 15 minute breaks
